Lanakila ACDs
There have been a lot of changes in the game during those 20 years. Mostly good! There are a lot of newer players to the game who don’t understand the original rules, and who play the game much differently than I do lol.
I do not operate a Super Kennels (managing several kennels full of the same breed just to try to become number one in the breed).
I do not enter 40 dogs in one show just to boost numbers lol.
I do not like to enter more class animals than it takes for a 3 point major because that drives up the numbers needed for majors the next month.
I enter shows to go for Group placements and wins. And to finish class animals.
I find it amusing that people find me so intimidating that they have to enter huge numbers of dogs so that their dogs will be entered in the World Cup each month. I don’t have time for that garbage. My dogs’ records speak for themselves lol.
Lanakila ACDs is now the home of Lanakila's Cattle Dogs...we started in Cattle Dogs back in May 06, and have finished many champions. BISS, mutlitple Group-placing CH Lanakila Boot Scootin Boogie was the number one ACD for two months straight (and placed 3rd in Breed at the Sept. 06 World Cup), and finished her career as the number 14 all time ACD.
Although we specialize in ACDs, we are dabbling in other breeds...currently we have CH WR With A Vengeance (Mastiff) who completed her Championship very quickly and easily, and her daughter CH Lanakila On Cloud Nine. We also have a few English Foxhounds: CH BV Tarot and her daughter CH Lanakila Major Arcan
