Malachite

#1 Breeder of Irish Terriers
About Libbie, owner of Malachite: I've been playing
ShowDog off and on since late 2004 and have worked
with many breeds between the two Family accounts I've
run over the course of two-plus years. Irish
Terriers were always a consistent project, however.
I formerly played the breed under the kennel name
Hansa, but came back to ITs as Malachite in March '06.

Meet our Superstars:
Ch. Enchant Me Malachite - Currently #14 All-Time Breed Ranking! 41 Bests in Breed, 2-time Best in Specialty Show, and countless Breed placings in all-breed and specialty shows. Chanter is now retired to stud and will soon be joining his friends on the Retirement Couch.
Ch. Malachite Galadriel - 10-time Best in Breed, six 1st - 4th in Specialty Show placings - she retired to the brood box to produce some of our best show and breeding ITs. Gal now takes her well-deserved retirement on the Couch.
Ch. Malachite Fangorn - 10-time Best in Breed, 29 Breed placings including 3 Specialty Show placings
(2nd - 4th in Specialty Show). Fangorn stayed in the top 5 in the Current Top Dogs ranking for weeks at the height of his show career. Fang is now retired on the Couch.
Ch. Malachite Power Surge - 7-time Best in Breed, and an incredible 26 Breed placings. Sergio had a brief stud career before retiring to the Couch.
Ch. Malachite Bryony - This 88% 19SS bitch took Third in Breed at her third show and is swept the showring until she was retired to the broodbox in late March 2007. She goes back to Ch. MK Circles In The Sand, our first major player in the Irish Terrier showring. Her show wins include 3 Best in Breed placings and 18 Breed placings (2nd through 4th).
Ch. Malachite Astronaut - Astro has given an amazing performance in the show ring with one Group 4, 4 Best in Breed rankings, and an unprecedented 37 Breed placings (2nd through 4th). He continues to show and I expect his current #74 all-time ranking to rise considerably before he is retired to stud.
Ch. Malachite Incrediblue - Blue has lived up to all expectations I had when I saw him settle with an amazing 89%, 19ss SOP. He has achieved 3 Breed placings (2nd through 4th) including at the March '07 SDWC - and 21 Best in Breed rankings.
All of our show successes come WITHOUT STACKING. Even before the handler fee rule change, I never entered more than four in any show - two dogs, two bitches - with the exception of no-handler specialties. I "PLAY FAIR, PLAY SQUARE" and encourage others to do the same. It is possible to succeed in this game without stacking. All it takes is a good strategy and patience!
