The Silky Terrier is a cross between the native Australian Terriers and imported Yorkshire terriers of Australia. Most will agree that the Silky Terrier encompasses most of the best qualities of is ancestors. They are known for their beautiful, non-shedding and odorless coat. This breed is spirited and has a good degree of physical strength. They like the companionship of other pets.

The Norfolk terrier is characteristically alert, gregarious, fear-less and loyal. They are never aggressive. The versatile, agreeable, game, hardy Norfolk is one of the smallest of the working Terriers. It has expressive, dropped ears, is active and free moving, and is compact, with good sub-stance and bone. Its natural, weather-resistant coat and short legs make it a "perfect demon" in the field, where it can go to ground to bolt a fox and tackle or dispatch other small vermin, alone or in a pack. Honorable scars from fair wear and tear are acceptable and never to be penalized in the show ring. All faults are to be penalized in relation to the degree of deviation from the ideal.
