Blue Kennels breeds for quality, not for quantity. Our kennel is concerned with the betterment of the kennel’s current breeds. Every breeding is done with breed standard and current dog quality in mind. Here at Blue Kennels we breed for the BLUE in all breeds!!

We have bred 41 champions to date, in breeds ranging from German Shepherds to Bull Terriers to Chinese Shar Peis to Newfoundlands to Giant Schnauzers to Great Danes to Neapolitan Mastiffs to Standard Poodles to Redbone Coonhounds to Tibetan Terriers to Pekingese.

UPDATE: We are currently trying out some different breeds right now, so if the kennel looks like a train wreck you can probably assume that this is the reason.

WHAT WE FEED:

Here at Blue Kennels we feed our dogs each a custom blend of food that is tailored to what they do. Here’s a quick list of what we feed, what’s in the feed, and what the feed is used for.

Blues Chicken and Gravy Puppy Bites: This feed is fed to our puppies right from day one. It contains all the nutrients that our babies need to begin their lives. After reaching 14 days the pups that we’ve chosen to keep are then switched to Blues Beef and Rice Training Formula.

Blues beef and Rice Training Formula: This feed, aside from being the most expensive food we feed, is a very special feed. We feed this to our dogs that have been deemed show-worthy. It contains the highest amounts of fat and protein which helps boost these dogs condition and other numbers quickly. After the dog on this feed has reached 20’s all around they are moved to Blues Lamb and Rice Show Formula.

Blues Lamb and Rice Show Formula: This is what our adult show dogs are fed to keep their numbers up and help keep their coats shiny and their muscles toned. Dogs are kept on this feed until they have finished or, if we have a very special dog, until they are 120 days old. Then after they’ve finished showing they are moved to either Blues Chicken and Rice for Retirees OR Blues Beef and Veggies for Mommies.

Blues Chicken and Rice for Retirees: Once a dog here has reached the ripe old age of 120 days they are fed this feed. It keeps the retired dogs muscles strong and their coats glistening. Our older set is kept on this and either put up for stud, put on the Retirement Couch or FH’ed.

Blues Beef and Veggies for Mommies: This is a very special feed that is fed to our brood bitches here at Blue Kennels. This feed is fed all the time to our brood bitches, or 5 days before a planned breeding with one of our star show dogs and 5 days after she’s whelped. This feed keeps mom nice and fat and healthy while she’s pregnant and after she’s whelped.

PUPPY POLICY:

My policy on selling puppies to ANY user is the same. I expect that you would treat Blue dogs just as you would treat a real dog. Feed them anything but Old Boy Generic Food, session them until they are appropriately trained, and show them until they finish (as I will NEVER sell a puppy that I wouldn’t think of keeping and showing myself). No puppies will be sold until they are at least 10-15 days old because I like to sell puppies that have 20 for their condition, and because I like to submit them to Skipwall. If you have 1 dog on Old Boy you will immediately have your offer on that puppy declined. Sorry to be such a stickler, but my puppies deserve only the best. This policy is hardly ever followed by the buyer of the new puppy. This is why you’ll not see many Blues puppies for sale anymore.
