Welcome to NightFall Kennels! laugh :D

~I specialize in breeding Scottish Deerhounds, but I do enjoy dabbling in other breeds for variety (my current on-side breeds are Redbone Coonhounds and Neapolitan Mastiffs).

~Throughout this summary of my kennel policies, I’ll be referring to numbers such as 80, 85, etc. These indicate the “scoring” of a dog’s or bitch’s traits by the SOP evaluator provided by Skipwall, which is the tool I use to help me decide whether I should keep/sell a pup or forever home. www.mette-olesen.dk/showdog

~ I strive to improve the breed(s) as a whole and only breed and sell show-quality dogs (as I'm sure you do, or will, as well happy :)). To achieve this goal, I forever home (or sometimes keep, but never sell) any SD (Scottish Deerhound) pups less than 80 and/or any SD pups with traits more than two points off of 10 (example: 7's and 13's or worse). For the on-side breed, I forever home pups based on the numbers of the top dogs in that breed at the time. However, I do forever home pups no matter what if they are less than 80.
After all, I want to help improve the breed.

~I sell to Premis AND Basics on the condition that you let me know before you sell or forever home the puppy you bought from me. If you are new, you will find that this is a common courtesy on ShowDog, and a good way to earn respect (and future business dealings) from myself and other established kennels. If possible, I will try to buy back for the original purchase price.

~To keep it fair and even, the first offer on one of my dogs or bitches gets dibs. In other words, my kennel runs strictly on a first come-first serve basis once the litters are born. The only exception to this would be a promised pick of litter to another kennel that has let me use a stud or granted me some other favor on that condition. I will also consider emails requesting a pup reservation prior to the birth of the litter.

~I'm very proud of my kennel, as most of the other showdog.com-ers are, and I don't mind sharing my gained knowledge and enjoyment with newbies. So, please, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to drop me an email! I'll help you if I can, and don't forget that the forums on the left side of the page are a great place to get questions answered too.

~Whether you're a new hand or an old pro, I hope that you have enjoyed your visit to my kennel, and that I might have the opportunity to do business with you in the future.

See you in the ring!! razz :p
