Breeding for Style and Personality
The Bichon Havanese (BH) is a small luxury and companion dog that originated in Cuba between the XVIII and XIX centuries.
The name "Habanero" was inherited from the famous port of the city where, since colonial times, many ships and crews arrived from the many different regions of the world.
The BH is a small, vigorous dog of short legs and elongated trunk.
Its body is completely covered with long, silky, wavy and shiny hair of variable colors, although the most common are ivory and honey.
The tail is raised like a plume with hair falling over the loins.
The eyes are covered with a curtain of hair.
In temperament, it is playful, alert, curious, brave, loving and very intelligent.
Its character decisively influences its behavior and movement with head and tail proudly and happily raised.
My dog’s names come from Latin American artists and poets. Initially names were chosen from the works of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. More recently I have chosen names derived from the work of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.

I do not put any sales restrictions on my puppy sales, but I always hope for a home where they will be sessioned and put in shows.
Currently, I evaluate my dogs at the Skipwall site, (www.mette-olesen.dk/showdog/index.php) and any SOP% in their call names are calculated there.
I want any buyer to be satisfied with any TL dog they purchase, and I will buy any unfinished TL dog that the buyer wishes to remove from their kennel. If I have placed a Champion with you and the dog no longer fits into your plans for your kennel, I will be happy to buy it back. If you want any advice about picking judges or handlers, I am happy to mentor in any way I can.
