Hi,

I was wondering whether the condition of the bitch has an impact on her puppies? What about coat and muscle tone?
thx

A low condition bitch will have low condition pups, the other two, I believe don't matter just for a brood bitch.

A bitch of 20 condition will have pups with 12.4 (iirc) condition

The condition of the bitch will not have an effect on the SOP of the puppies, but it will effect their condition. It is best to breed a bitch when her condition is at 20 so that it doesn't take as long to get the pups to 20 condition.

thanks to both of you for your replies. Is the same true for the sire as well, or is his condition irrelevant?
