Because we need the poor quality dogs to stop us reaching a genetic bottleneck. With so few dogs we risk COI's going through the roof so we are trying to dilute it a bit. A necessary evil

True starter lines take years to become show quality.
I have another kennel, started in 2006, breeding true source Welsh Springers.
True meaning breeding gen 0 to Gen 0 then gen 1 to gen 1 etc.

They are not show quality yet. SOP is 81.9 and show quality is 92+.

Luckily we have some good dogs to work from so we just needed to do a little dilution rather than starting completely from scratch and thanks to Sussurro we have even more

I know they take a lot of work; that's why I'm not doing it, lol. I can't afford a starter line now. I'm just working on improving the higher SOPs so far.

I think I did a half source Welsh Springer years ago, in here.
Got rid of them and just concentrated on 100% Source dogs.

I can see its going to be slightly tedious lol, since Sussurro kindly sold their dogs to us we have a lot more to work with and there will be loads of pups tomorrow I can't wait

We still need more entries for shows, but things are already much improved Spinones have gone from being at the bottom to 140 on the list and rising A brilliant achievement to say that its only been around a month

Would love to see more entries, more champions being made and hopefully more breeders
