I'll get us started:

Dogs names: Emmett & Tonks

Breed: Rhodesian Ridgebacks

Story: This photo was taken approx 7-8 weeks after Emmett had life-saving spinal surgery and was the first time he was allowed to run off-leash. He was only 8 months old when he was diagnoses with a subarachnoid cyst growing on his spine and the specialists told me it was either do the surgery or put him to sleep. The surgery had a massive risk of paralysis as well as a risk of reacting to dye they used for the CT imaging - which meant his life was hanging in the balance at only 8 months of age. He has amazed us all and is now able to walk and run (still with issues though) - but he is alive and is pain free - what more could I ask for? happy :) Love my boys so much! I just love the look on his older brother Tonks' face in this photo too - it's almost like "Wow - he's running!" laugh :D

Thanks! Yes they did - it was a wonderful day! Definitely worth the drive (about 2 hours from where I live). The water was crystal clear and quite warm and the sun was out for the whole day happy :) We had fish and chips by the beach and spent half the day in the water and the other half reading a book on the sand happy :)

It's one of my favourite places to go - looking forward to heading back down there in a few weeks laugh :D

Dogs name: Coal & Jammer
Breed: Standard Poodle & Keeshond
Story: Most active forum memebers will already know the story behind these 2 dogs. About 2 years ago I actually met someone from ShowDog at a dog show who was kind enough to let me show one of her dogs. I then fell in love with dog showing. My Standard Poodle, Coal, was my first show dog. I only showed him in Juniors and he was a neutered pet-quality dog. (I have a picture of our last dog show on this kennels kennel slogan). When he and I went as far as we could I found a lady near my house who bred outstanding Keeshonden. After talking to her she agreed to mentor me as well as let em show one of her dogs in Juniors and All-Breed. Long story short in less than 5 months this amazing dog got me hooked. We became the #3 Non-Sporting Junior, #1 Keeshond Junior, #2 O-H Keeshond and at a point was ranked in the GCH and Breed rankings in AKC ( Was since moved down in many standings after retiring mid-2015 ). This dog was everything to me and taught me that winning wasn't everything ad that the most important thing was to have fun. When I decided to become a full time dog show handlers assistant, he went back to live with his breeder. I got to show him one more time at Eukanuba where we made some cuts in the Juniors Showmanship finals. I said goodbye to him that weekend as he went to go live with his "forever home" family who still sends me pictures of him from time to time. I miss him everyday. Although I have another dog who means much to me as well, this picture makes me happy because both of these dogs gave me confidence and changed my life. And at the end of the day, regardless of what we walked out that ring with, they ran and played with me, just like any other dog would. I recently got to move back in with Coal and am thinking about showing him in UKC (Since I cant in AKC anymore) because he loved it so much, just as much as he loves running with his friends.

One of my favorite pics is actually a blooper

I was taking pictures of Hatter while we were at the dog park, Sparrow came running like a maniac and smashed into him. Then they tore off together playing

Name: Remy

Breed: Chihuahua/Pomeranian/Manchester Terrier mix (supposedly)

Story: I picked this picture because it's one of the very few good pics I can get of him. He acts like the camera is gonna bite him or something. This is the latest and most decent one but it's also from the same day he broke out with hives and his face swelled. He was so itchy and miserable and he just wanted to be held and cuddled. I felt bad for him but at the same time, loved how cuddley he was. Usually, hes just a ball of energy. So anyway, this was taken a couple hours after a dose of benedryl and some of the facial swelling went down. I think I kind of prefer the cute chubby face. Lol. laugh :D

Oops that was me. The pic is way too big and it won't let me edit it to put a smaller one.

Here's my pointer Pete. His expression says it all as to why I like this photo. Thanks to The McCartneys photography. They were running mini sessions at the Tulsa dog show on this day. We didn't qualify in our Open (obedience) class, but we got some fantastic photos!

Did you know?
The third obedience title is a UD, or "Utility Dog", which is earned through competition in the Utility obedience class
