I took my showmanship dog, Kenai, to his very first fun match today. I rescued him from a thunderstorm back in June, and after we scanned him for a microchip and put up posters still nobody ever claimed him as their own. He did very well, especially considering he's still very much a puppy (only a year old) and I also haven't been in a show ring in about four years. Here's a few pictures that my dad took while I was there.

All in all, I'm super proud of my boy. laugh :D

LOVE his name! I nearly named my first Ridgie 'Kenai' - it's still on my list of names for future dogs happy :)

Did you know?
The sit for exam is a modified version of the Stand for Exam. It is generally used in novice level classes and requires the handler to order the dog to sit and then to move away from the dog the length of the leash. The judge will then approach the dog and pet the dog's head.
