So what is everyone's color project right now?

I am currently focusing on Fawn and Cream German Shepherds & Black Irish Wolfhounds.

I am so curious to know what breeds or colors people are trying to bring back!

Oh I love a color project. In this kennel I’ve been working on white CMD that were a lost color when I started.
In another kennel I have been working on lemon, black and badger sealyhams, started from starter dogs have black up to current SOP and not far behind on the others.
I also have grey and black Irish wolfhound projects in my Reginakennels - if you ever see a black stud you want to use that’s not up just let me know!
GWP I have been working on solid colors, and just started from a starter with roans as those colors have been lost. I am probably forgetting a few but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head!

Working on a few things;

TRUE: I am doing a true poodle color generation project which just had a start last month and we are waiting for the pups to age up to become studs and have a few females going between accounts to have their pups and then making sure we have all of the resources we need when they have their next litters for color projects.

GEM is working on improving a black and blue carrier line in SOP for the Cane Corso and just produced our first 99.80 pup. and we are also getting started in a Black Giant Schnauzer program right now. I just finished my Australian project after producing our first champion and grand champion pups.

Prophets is producing more fawn and gray Belgian Tervurens, getting ready to find or produce some poodles with color lines and started our Standard Schnauzer line as well.

I got a few projects going on!

For CWC's I'm trying to focus on non-Merle since Double Merle seems to be dominating the breed. I still have Merle (love the color) but I've imported some Brindles. I've had to start from scratch since there aren't many breeders or studs to work with.

For OES I am trying to keep Gray, Grizzle, Piebald, and Merle colors alive since many of them seem to be Blue Irish White. Just imported some Gray Grizzles. Another tough breed with few breeders and I believe only 1 kennel with high SOP dogs (who has been amazing with helping me to get started!)

Collies is definitely my biggest project though. The colors are very diverse, but the bloodlines are not and most, if not all, modern high SOP dogs go back to about 3 studs, so my pet project is diversifying the lines and bringing unrelated dogs to 100 SOP. I have 2 kennels operating Collies. Samhain is all unrelated dogs that have been built from my old lines, source, and zombies that pre-date the big 3. Sunwing has 2 lines; 1 is more modern dogs, and 1 is a mix of all my lines.

This is so strange, because I wasn't really working on anything on purpose, just hoping, but I just bred my first show quality cream Toy Poodle since about 2021:

Also produced a low show shine cream male I'll use at stud.

Really exciting to read about everyone revitalizing their breeds!

I have a long term project in Beardies, to bring back the solid colours, and a 10 head.

The solids are now almost up to the leading SOP, not far to go now, and I have two 10 head boys and five females, so the head is now just starting to go through my lines.

On the down side, I just had 10 litters come in, and FH'ed the lot.

I'm terrible about not looking at the forums, so just now seeing this post.

I have been working on Fawn and Liver colored GSD since 2018. Currently have SOP in the 80's and low 90's.

Here in Anxta I'm only concentrating on improving SOPs and having every colour (anyone in any of the hound breeds can attest this is so hard on a 31 dog limit due to huge range of colours!)

In Gracenor (English Setters) I had worked on making Liver, Liver and Tan and Lemon make a come back, and now with more dogs than I really need, and multiple generations I may concentrate more on showing soon.

In Flarora (Greyhounds) same same as Otterhounds here in Anxta.

In Speliala, trying to catch the 4 colour variations up in SOP with each other, which is challenging with a fairly thin on the ground genepool.

Contemplating what to do with my 5th spot. I really enjoy the challenge of improving some colour SOPs

Roflmao

I only show in my basic, and not dogs I breed!

If someone sends me a message asking for anything in particular, or if it matches an SOP I already have for that colour, the older one will go up for sale.

Mahogany, Tawny, Black, Grey, Black Brindle Neos

Tawny Brindle & Grey Brindle were the only colors in the breed 2 years ago.

I've been successful in bringing the other colors up to show quality.

The Neo breed is extremely rare and unpopular on here. I've been breeding it alone for over 4 years, with one other kennel now breeding from El Magnifico lines.

Other: Xkwizit kennel Tawny & Light Tawny Briards which has been pretty easy if bred to Brown Tawny which is dominant in the show quality SOP.

Top 18 Grand Ch all time is my male Neo Oro Maestoso so hopefully people see this breed can be competitive and join, especially now with all the other colors available!

Brindle and Red color project for the Azawakh breed. I have some new puppies that just came and are for sale in the Azawakh sale page if anyone wants a new breed to play with or wants to help expand the color pool in the breed.
