There are several breed specialities for Afghan Hounds that show the following:
Breed: Afghan Hound
Entries: 6
Breed Entries: 2

The numbers may vary but the total entries are many more than the breed entries. How is this possible? In this particular case, those 2 entries are mine from 2 kennels. So what are the 4 secret ones?

But wait!

Now there are 7 total entries and 9 breed entries, the additional 7 breed entries are all from 1 kennel. This is totally messed up. I guess it doesn't really matter, what counts is the breed entries but I also noticed that it always seems like whomever sets up the specialty ends up winning no matter what.

(OK this is just my opinion but seems like it happens a lot. ...but I also noticed that it always seems like whomever sets up the specialty ends up winning no matter what...

The real question is about the discrepancy in the number of entries.

It's just a glitch. Sometimes it's a delay in entries updating.

Whenever you click into the specialty, you can always see all current entries.

Only thing hidden in this game are the decimals and some of the funky judge traits. razz :p

And, sponsorship has zero affect on who wins. I've lost TONS of shows I've sponsored. lol

I will say though... I tend to sponsor more no handler specialties when I am currently showing dogs that I think will win. Sucky dogs.... less specialties from me.

Did you know?
A specialty show may be regional or national. A "Best in Show" win at a national specialty show is tremendously prestigious, indicating that the winning dog or bitch triumphed at a contest which attracted entries from the most serious fanciers of that breed in the country or continent. Some specialty shows attract international entries.
