How negatively impactful is mixing generations when source breeding?
I'm considering seeing what effects something more like line breeding may have on quality and wondering if anyone has done similar?

Good question.
I never tried that.
I prefer to breed same generations together.

Amber Crest I agree because I purposely bred some Dalmatians as close as I could just to see. After about 4 generations of sibling breeding etc they got to I think around 35% and breeding those littermates it wouldn't go any higher. However, the quality was still mostly 100 SOP. When I took one of those dogs and bred to a total outcross I got fewer 100 SOP pups. So I don't think COI means anything now, like so many other things.

Did you know?
At least two wins must be a set of three or more points ("majors"), under two different judges; at least one additional win under a third judge is also required.
