Since I am trying to do a pure source line of Lowchen here in my kennel, I thought I would begin posting my progress.
I am now on generation 17, and here is my best one www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=16713301 Now I know she isn't all that great when looking at her SOP of Genetic Quality at 17.65, but on the old SOP her Genetic Quality is 71.9 |

I’ve been doing this since 2006. You are doing it differently than I do it. In my opinion, true source breeding is breeding 2 of the same generations together. For instance, Gen 10 to a Gen 10 then Gen 11 to a Gen 11 and so on. It takes a few years, doing it this way, to start getting blues. It is a labour of love, that is for sure. Keep up the good work. I hope you have other kennels to keep you interested. BTW, your naming is mind blowing...LOL Carol |

quote---------------------------------- Thank you, Carol I do have other breeds to keep me busy. lol- yes my naming is a bit strange but it is the kennel name then the regist. number then generation, then SOP. That way I don't have to worry about names until later. Hope to see you in the ring at a later date with the source-bred dogs, Happy showing! |

Hi, Carol from Caulfeilds here. I don’t see my dogs being ring ready for a couple of years. Show SOP for Welsh Springers is about 95.4. I have just now broken 90 in Caulfeilds. It will be a great day when it happens though. Carol |
