HI all:
I been wondering..I have a set of litters arriving on Wednesday and even though it will take another 30 days past that, if I breed one of the bitches(hypothiically she has 20 show shine) to one of the males of a different line..also ..a first generation pup (with lower showshine), is it possible for their offspring to have lower than the parent showshine? |

Hello, I have an example of this here for you. I breed a dam with show shine at 9.3 to a sire that had show shine at 4.3. I had my litter produce minimum of 6.0 to 8.5 show shine. In general if the stat is not blue - I can point out an example 20 is perfect for the breed and will be the same blue color as your conditioning stats when they hit/reach 20. The stats are an average between both parents. Which is how the lower SOP is added and rated. I would focus on one stat at a time and then build on another stat from there. example: Addison - 4.3 show shine I would focus on raising the head, top/neck/back, feet and show shine stat of her offspring. Her current litter has the likely hood of pulling a higher stat from the sire but expect the SOP to still be low. Bettina - 16.8 Show shine focus just on her show shine stat until offspring produce 20's. Cassandra - 19.1 Show shine after her offspring get 20's breed them to improve ay stat that is high. My rule of thumb - if the offspring have a high state breed that up and then from there improve the stats until ideal or perfect to breed standard. You can email me on here to ask more questions as well. |
