I've been playing off and on for awhile, and I want to keep learning more about how the shows work before paying money. I think I'm making some okay progress, I even have a spreadsheet of judges I'm slowly working on now. xD
But, I was rereading the intro information and I think a page or two with basics in the forums and I learned about "finishing services" which I am playing around with some. I finished a couple dogs for the first time back in July/August, last time I was regularly playing. I keep getting demotivated because it's really just me messing around at this point. I would finish a dog, and, that's it. I could only buy dogs already set aside as not good enough for their breeding programs, so they just kind of sat around after that. I want to be part of something bigger than just me.

So, I was wondering if anyone needed a dog finished and would be willing to trust me with them. / If anyone knew a kennel/breed I should look at contacting to ask.

*Edits for spelling.

This is a cool idea, I would be very interested! I have Salukis here, and Italian Greyhounds and Pekingese over at my other kennel (Fleurdelis, linked below) if any of these breeds interest you. All three of my breeds generally have enough competition for majors, so dogs finish fairly quickly. happy :)

So, yes, it's been a long time since I was a Basic but it is kind of limited.

I see you currently have collies, which I don't have but if you want to have a look around my kennels and find some breeds you think you'd be interested in I'll let you have a some that should be finishable (dog show talk for should be able to get a championship).

There are a number of "rare breeds" that could use some support. I have Weimaraners and Vizslas which are not well supported.

Message me directly and tell me if you have any particular interests regarding breeds and I'll fill you in on what I have. (There are 10 Gaylan... kennels and a number of others.)

One tip. If it's a pup, make sure the kennel that sends it over has the dog on 1-7-7-7 formula food.

It makes a huge difference in how fast they session and maintain stats.

Thank you all for believing in me!
Sent messages to relevant people.
I'll limit myself to two dogs per kennel or breed at a time, and I'm willing to make a waitlist if anyone wants to get on it.

Did you know?
Since its centenary year in 1991, Crufts has officially been recognised as the world's largest and most prestigious dog show by the Guinness Book of Records, with a total of 22,973 dogs being exhibited that year.
