Which breeds on here are some of the easiest/quickest to fully session. I was just curious. I think I am a bit impatient,... so this just ran in my head. Back in the day, I usually had one dog right after the other to put in the ring, now seeing as I am waiting for my first breeding to enter since I started back, it had me thinking for a bit. One more thing, was the session based on the premise of real dog breeds?

Of all my breeds the rotties seem to session the quickest. |

Ok thanks,... because I was thinking that if this was based on real dogs. I would have to look into a small, short haired dog that generally excel in companion events. To try have a dog that session fairly quickly. |

Gordon Setters hit 20 for training between 18-20 days, if they are on a custom ration and sessioned from the get go. My Borzois are pretty quick to session too. On the opposite end are my Mals who are done around 35 days. |

My Dalmations are pretty sessioned by the time they hit 20 days (started sessioning from the get-go). Example: www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13672782 Don't mind the bad condition. >_< I'm just starting to put my broods on Top Condition Formula. |

Shelties and Aussies session really fast, you can have them in the ring by 14 days if you start right away. Boxers are pretty quick too, training takes a while longer but not alot. |

American Cockers are ready by day 20 or 21 if you session them from Day 0 with the right food. |

this post has been edited 1 time(s) Bearded Collie's tend to session pretty quick when started from the beginning. I would say average 15-20 days. Here is one girl who is 14 days and just about done. www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13707297 My sibes aren't too bad, but the training seems like it takes FOREVER. Crystal Cove,... yes they are slow sessioners and training is where you put me. Because of this I don't think I'd ever put a puppy in the ring. All my dogs start a little over 30 days or a little before. I started putting 19 train dogs in the ring. |

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13714643 Poodle fully session at 17 days. However,... issue that I have,.. no matter the feed,... his condition is steadily dropping. |

I dont understand why there training is so slow. They are an intelligent breed so it certainly doesn't mimic that in real life... Crystal Cove |
