This is what I sent to Staff but thought I would ask here too:

Hi, this dog was 269 days old when he won 3 points as BOS at the latest National.
Why were they not Grand points?
It just indicates he has 3 points but no GC after that.

The system is set up to only give GCh out of the champion class. Veterans & Regular classes do not qualify for GCh based on the way Jeff has nationals set up.

If a dog wins BIB, points are calculated for all other dogs entered (except Veterans if any)

That really sucks. It is a great win any way you put it though. Sucks that your dog didn't get any points though.

Ah well, if we had an active admin, we could petition a change per the AKC rules as of 2017:

TIPS: (Effective 11/1/17) Veteran dogs or any other non-regular class dogs are counted in determining points. All eligible entrants from non-regular classes can earn Grand Championship points.
