I just got a puppy with 10s all across the top row! The show shine is 17.0. Do you think it'd be worth it trying to session and show this dog?

I've sessioned and shown dogs with 19SS, but 17 is 2 whole points lower. ...but again, she also has 10s in Head, Forequarter, Hindquarter, Gait, and T,N,B and in danes, all of those aspects are ranked high on the Scale of Points. happy :)

Her corrected SOP may or may not be competitive (someone else will have to help on this).

But what a brood bitch!

I'd session and give her a try. But I'm a sucker for trying out dogs in the ring.

If nothing else, it will be an interesting experiment. Good luck!

I wouldn't show her on the principal that I don't show anything with a SS less than 19.7

But I would definitely breed her!

Id be more likely to try and show her than breed her- I (unscientifically, anecdotally) feel like weak SS causes more instability in SS in my lines for the next couple generations - but Id be curious to see how she does in the ring enough to try. And you bet your ass Id repeat that breeding again as often as I could to see if I could do it again WITH a 20ss next time.

Did you know?
In the American Kennel Club, a dog needs 15 points to become a Champion, with each win gaining anywhere from zero to five points depending on the number of dogs competing and the area where the show is held.
