Newfoundlands in the game all seem to have a 10.2 for head.
Looking to purchase a Newfoundland with anything besides a 10.2 for head. Any pooch, male or female with SOP over 97 is fine even with low show shine. Thanks for any help, Carolyn |

I have gone back many generations and there it is!! 10.2 for head. I am breeding a starter to one of my boys now. It will take a few generations but it might be the only way to break the 10.2 cycle in Newfoundlands. C |

Carolyn, Create some starters and keep a bitch with low head... Just keep breeding the starter to your current sop stock and always keep a few of the lower heads... you will eventually break through the head stats. Newfies have huge litters so you probably dont need to keep too many head line starter broods to get to your goal. Will |

Thanks Will. I did that in 2 kennels. I kept a few. Top SOP now is 99.65 so I will breed back to high SOP dogs. It will be a process but I will persevere. Good thing the starters are 30 days old at purchase. Saves waiting that extra month to breed Cheers, Carolyn |

Just a quick update note on my source x current SOP project. After a full 13 months on the endeavour and generation 13 from source, this lovely pup popped up today… https://www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=18075983 99 SOP !!!! For fun, I will session this one and see how it does in the ring. Cheers, Carolyn |
