Caulfeilds May 22nd All Breed Show Entries: 734 Judge: Jill Quinton

Best in Show went to GCH Llanelli J I Love Candy, the Liver Belton English Setter. This will be her first Best in Show win - Congratulations! She is handled by Hamos Hounds, of which is her owner! She is currently the #4 English Setter, #13 Sporting Dog and #49 All Breed. She is quite the gal to look at in the show ring. Congratulations to both owner and dog.

Second in the show today went to GCH Akutan Billikin, the Dark Blue Sable and White Alaskan Malamute. As a stunning seasoned man, he is adding this Group win to his wall, welcome home win number 11! He is the current #1 Alaskan Malamute, #2 Working and #10 All Breed. He is handled by Lykanthropy who is the wonderful owner of such a stunning Alaskan Malamute. Congratulations to both the owner and dog on the win!

Today's third in show winner was the Tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH Captiva Miami Moon UD. While still getting some more Group wins this is a great time to mention that this is his FIFTH! He is the current #3 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and #4 Toy. He is handled by owner and breeder Captiva Kennels, who has watched this stunning man rais to the top! Congratulations to both owner and dog for the win tonight!

Finishing off in fourth was GCH MHs Big $crappy, the Black and White Broken Coated Jack Russell Terrier. The Group win was no new feat for this seasoned man, this is his 9th Group win. He is the current #1 Jack Russell Terrier and #3 Terrier. He is handled by owner and breeder Mountain High who has watched this man grow in the ring. Congratulations to both owner and dog on this win tonight.

The remaining Group winners are GCH WINK Free Trip (Shetland Sheepdog), GCH RoseHound Almost There (Saluki), and GCH Solcintra2 Bright Stars (Standard Poodle).

Judges comments: Hello and thank you for the interview! My Name is Jill Qiunton and I am a judge here at ShowDog. I prefer to see owners handle their own dogs in the show ring as it tells me that you have a great bond with your dog. I love seeing all breeds enter the ring and I have always chosen to pick the breed that meets my preference for looks related to their breed standard. My Best in Show winner has everything I was looking for, a nice neck that carried their head with a great topline. Size also matters, I prefer the average size over being over or under and the feet should be clean and nails should be short while parallel to the ground in a stack.

Best in Show went to GCH Nachthunde Troy! Anyone else remember this boy from yesterday? That’s right, he went Best in Show two days in a row - Congratulations! He is the #3 Tibetan Terrier, #3 Non-Sporting and #2 All Breed. He is handled by owner and breeder Nachthunde, with such a young dog having the ability to brag about your 2 Best in Shows on back to back days must feel amazing. Congratulations to both owner and dog.
Second in show today was GCH Tarot Wind of Change! Now that’s a total of 36 Group wins for this champion. He is the current #1 Afghan Hound, #1 Hound and #1 All Breed. He is handled by Solcintra II, who has had the great pleasure of handling him from the start of his career to the end. He was placed into a loving family and has finally retired. Join me by saying a great goodbye to this legend. Congratulations for all the hard work you two.

Third in show tonight went to a stunning terrier, CH Airboarding Lock Stock Barrel. This will be his first Group win, let's congratulate both owner and dog for that achievement today. Handled by airblu who is both his owner and breeder to the top. He is currently #4 Border Terrier and #39 Terrier. Congratulations to both owner and dog!

Fourth in the show last night went to the Toy Poodle, GCH Comet Midnight Citron. Making this her first group win! Congratulations for all of the hard work being put in. She is handled by Comet Poodles, who is the breeder and owner of this pretty Cafe Au Lait girl. She is the current #2 Toy Poodle and #8 Toy. Congratulations to both owner and dog, also she is just 43 days old!

The remaining winners are GCH Chonselta Lucifer (German Shepherd Dog), CH Dustwood Ninety Proof (Pointer) and CH RoyalPaw*MollyTheMaid (Rottweiler)

Best Owner handled went to CH Hetchy Sea Level (Toy Poodle) and Best Puppy went to CH frankwick Rocket Man.

Judges comments: Thanks for interviewing me, I was judging all of my group winners to their breed standard. I like the dog's head to be held high and to have an expression on them while going around the ring. I like a powerful gait from the hindquarter, I also like a nicely balanced hindquarter to the size of a dog. Their feet should be clean and shouldn’t be going over their pastern or having any inward or outward pointed toes. I do like breeds that I have judged before more than other breeds.

Best in show went to a Bi-Black Shetland Sheepdog named Fancy Thisler. As his fourth show, he got his first Best in Show win - Congratulations! He is handled by his owner Hamos Hounds, by the way congratulations to this early win in his career at 19 days old! He is currently climbing the ranks and seated at the #42 Shetland Sheepdog. Keep up the hard work and a big congratulations to both owner and dog.

Finishing in second last night was GCH Solcintra Franklins Tower the Gordon Setter. Adding to his personal collection with his 17th Group win. He is handled by owner and breeder Solcintra Kennels. He is the #6 Gordon Setter and climbing up the ranks in hopes of getting into the top 50 Sporting breed with the other four Gordon Setters right now. Congratulations to both owner and dog.

Third in show went to CH Diode Sunset Fire, the Grey and White Alaskan Malamute. She is adding her 6th Best in Group win to her belt! She is handled by owner and breeder Hurricos, congratulations on your other Best in Group winner as well. Congratulations to the kennels, owner and dogs on this win.

Fourth in show went to a terrier named, GCH Andy’s Dorian Gray, the Sealyham Terrier. He is achieving his 5th Best in Group win. He is handled by owner and breeder Andy*s. He is the current #8 Sealyham Terrier, #26 Terrier and #33 All Breed. Congratulations to both owner and dog on this achievement. Wishing y’all the best with the speciality!

Judges Comments: I tend to lean toward dogs over bitches in the show ring. I also prefer my winners to have been shown more, the more they are seen by other judges to help me notice them, one that truly outshines others in their breed. My winners should also be compared to their respective bred standards, Size and height should be the main thing to focus on in my ring.

HFC All-Breed 24-05-22 Entries: 326 Judge: Jeff Dunbar

Best in show went to CH Airboarding Topsy Turvy the Blue and Tan Border Terrier. She is getting his first Best in Show win tonight, big congratulations to you Turvy and your owner. Handled by owner and breeder airblu to the top. She is the current #6 Border Terriers and climbing her way up for a shot at the top 50 Terriers.

Second in show went to the Black Brindle Greyhound, CH Agamede Aziz. This is his second Best of Group win! Handled by owner and breeder Agamede. He is the current #5 Greyhound and climbing the ranks in hopes of peaking in the hound group. Congratulations to both owner and dog on this achievement and good luck at the WorldCup.

Third in show went to CH Drive To Donegal, a Liver Irish Water Spaniel. This is his second Best in Group win and his second third in show placing. Might I add his first show was the first time he tasted the podium light. He is handled by Ellen Schroeder for owner Hamos Hounds. He is the current #31 Irish Water Spaniel and hopes to peak higher in the breed and get his chance to debut in the top 50 Sporting. Congratulations to both owner and dog and we wish you luck on the upcoming all breed shows you have lined up.

Wrapping up the winners circle was GCH WolfeKirk Hotline, the Australian Red Border Collie. He is winning his 2 Group win tonight - Congratulations. He is handled by owner and breeder WolfeKirk Kennels. He is the current #2 Border Collie and #23 Herder. Congratulations to both owner and dog for this achievement in boths’ careers.

The remaining winners were GCH Rosewood Rubans Bleus (Miniature Poodle), GCH Comet Poetry In Motion (Toy Poodle) and GCH Rookwood Fleeting Rhapsody.

Best Owner Handled went to CH Ogeechee Cold As Ice and the Best Puppy went to Comet Ticket To Paradise.

Judges Comments: Thanks for the ringside interview after naming the Best in Show winner. I like to pick breeds that haven’t recently won Best in Show. I want to give each breed the chance to fight for the spot on the podium. I still like curtain breeds over others but I will let other breeds I don’t lean toward into the finals. I want my winners to have titles before they can be considered Best of Breed. When I am looking at the dogs entering the ring I am looking at a strong and powerful gait with their hindquarter carrying them well and with confidence. I look at how their feet are, I want to see no inward or outward slayed feet, I want them clean looking and when they stand they should give structured and reliable stances.

Best in show went to GCH Sarah’s 1st Past the Post, the Blue and Silver Kerry Blue Terrier. This is his first Best in Show win decently early into his career. He is handled by Maret Gentile for owner Sarah*s. He is the current #1 Kerry Blue Terrier, #1 Terrier and #17 All Breed. Congratulations to both owner and dog for the achievements of such a talented and stunning male.

Second in show went to GCH Aran Wildfire, a Cream Irish Wolfhound. This is his 7th Group win and he is getting more confident everytime we see him in the ring. Handled by Juile Patton for Irish Isles, this is her 6th time working with Aran and Irish Isles. He is the current #9 Irish Wolfhound #16 Hound and #35 All Breed. Congratulations to both owner and dog for the win tonight.

Third in show went to GCH Kilohana GreatExpectations, a Fawn Brindle Mastiff. She added her fifth Group win tonight to her career portfolio. She was handled by Juile Patton for owner Kilohana Kennels. She is the current #4 Mastiff and #18 Working. COngratulations to both owner and dog for the win tonight!

Fourth in show was GCH BarStar THinkin Bout Me, the Black and White Dalmatian. She is winning her 12 Group win tonight. Handled by Marget Gentile for Owner Jimbos Pad. She is the current #3 Dalmatian, #6 Non-Sporting and #2 All Breed. COngratulations to both owner and dog on the win.

The remaining Group winners were GCH Lanakila Beat It (Cardigan Welsh Corgi), Arrosa Pansy (American Water Spaniel) and GCH Solcintra2 Twelve (Pomeranian).

Best Owner handled went to CH Emily’s Think Big (Kerry Blue Terrier) and Best Puppy went to Sarah’s Portia (Kerry Blue Terrier). Congratulations to Sarah*s Kennel for the sweep here!

Judges Comments: I like to select handlers to be in control of the dogs I see in the ring but I also like seeing the owners in the ring as well. I like to see the dogs that have been shown before, I like the nervous jitters to be out of the dogs in my ring. I like dogs that are experienced with being touched for inspection of coats and having their teeth shown to me. I enjoy a nice looking forequarter and hindquarter on the dogs I pick as Breed, Group and Best in Show winners.

Of course! I am almost done with yesterdays show results, and I love looking at each dogs portfolio. She was super stunning by the way. I could see why the judge chose her.

It's starting to be more and more fun, taking n a personality for the judges comments is kind of the best highlight at the end.
