Until I get caught up, I will temporarily not have the rankings in the summaries. I am getting ready to dump a few show round ups and finish off the weekends here shortly as well. I am sorry for the wait, chronic illnesses have been acting up and I haven’t had my full energy restored. I am making it work, which I will take to my own advantage.
Kenzie - Gem Crest MVK all breed 41 Entries: 778 Judge: Rachel Barnette Judges Comments: I tend to prefer bitches over dogs in the show ring and prefer to see the owner and dog in the ring together. When looking at the overall all dog I want to see and feel good toned muscles in the hindquarters, a flowy gait while moving around the ring, a stunning head and topline in a free stack and nicely structured foot placement when standing and moving. Best in show went to CH Lanakila Swine and Roses, an Australian Shepherd. She brought home her first best in show ribbon for herself. She was handled by her owner and breeder Lankila ACDs. Congratulations to both owner and dog on the win today. Second in show went to CH Crush Rancha, a Borzoi. As her first best in group win, I am sure she has gotten a good snack afterwards. She was handled by her owner and breeder Crush. Congratulations to both owner and dog on the win today. Third in show went to GCH Anakie Star Stone Princess, the Samoyed. She is winning her fourth group placing and ribbon today. Handled by her owner and breeder Anakie. Congratulations to both owner and handler on the win today. Fourth in show went to an Irish Setter named CH Keep On Octavia. She is winning her fourth group win and adding yet another ribbon to her wall. Handled by her owner The Lemon Claws. Congratulations to both owner and dog on the win today. The remaining group winners were Nachthunde Tobin (Tibetan Terrier), CH MHs Calypso (American Staffordshire Terrier) and GCH Intrinsicc Sky Blue Heaven (Italian Greyhound). Best Owner Handled went to Lanakila Cool Whip (Australian Shepherd) and Best Puppy went to Picardy Sabel Siter (Borzoi). Kelleys 3rd All Breed Entries: 498 Judge: Paul Caraway Judges Comments: When picking my winners I am looking for a good neck that flows into a nice looking topline when standing still for an exam and when in a free stack. Those Are two main things I look for in winners but I like the overall picture of the dog compared to the breed standard. I also prefer to see handlers in the reigns with the dogs but I will occasionally pick owner handlers as well. Best in show went to GCH Spirit Ranch Pistachio CD, the Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon. Garden State 6/3 All-Breed Show Entries: 510 Judge: Wilfredo Fester Judges Comments: When I am looking at a winner today I was looking for a great head that shows the dog's purpose and expression. I am also looking for a flowy gait that has power giving from the hindquarters. When standing in a stack I was looking at the coat, looking for a nice clean coat, the height of each dog and how well placed and carried the paws of each dog did around the ring. Summertime All Breed Entries: 489 Judge: maria Mitchell Judges Comments: When looking at the dog in the ring today I was looking for a dog with a strong and muscled hindquarter that gives the gait power and drive forward. I also want to see a dog with a nice neck and strong topline while standing in a stack. I also like the overall look of the dog compared to their breed. I want to see the dog thrive in the ring over being nervous or crowd shy. Best in show went to an Irish Water Spaniel named Outrigger Betha. Solcintra All Breed 103 Entries: 436 Judge: Kimberly Cunningham Judges Comments: I love seeing my group and best in show winners have a nice smooth and fluid gait, with a nice nice coat being shown as they go around the ring. I also love seeing a great and complementary neck and topline when each dog is stacked. I can also get a good height comparison when they are stacked next to others in their breed. My Best in show winner had exactly everything I was looking for. Best in show went to GCH KBKs Junee, the Siberian Husky.
