So I was thinking (This generally happens when I am trying to avoid working....)

Folks are often looking for new breeds to try or help with...
There's a post going on right now asking about lowest SOPs

So, I was thinking about doing a spread sheet that compares breeds -
We can do a submission form like we have for the Top SOP spreadsheet - so that someone in the breed can resubmit the breed when there are changes in the breed's status...

If I did something like this what information would you want?
So far I'm thinking...

Breed

Current SOP Range (Below 59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-94, 95-99)
Number of Active Players -(account is 6 mths or more & 10+ dogs of the breed) - (Less than 3, 4-6, 7-10, 11+)

Is Color Breeding Available?
# of coats / # of colors

Does this breed get SHOW placements?
Does this breed get GROUP placements?
# of dogs of this breed on Top Dogs All Breed Board
# of dogs of this breed on Top Dogs GROUP Board

Stud fees...
Average # of studs available (Less than 10 or More than 10)

Current number of dogs in the game

Maybe something about show competition or availability of majors?
Number of added specialties?
Is there a breed discussion thread?

What do you think? Useful or not?
What info would you like to see compared?

I love this idea!

Only thing I would add would be:

'Are the other breeders friendly/social?' (As in - are they happy to share studs, sales, etc)

Awesome!

I love the layout/functionality of the entering system happy :)

The spreadsheet looks like it could get a little hard to read once there are more entries on it?

I've submitted info for the following breeds:

Anatolian Shepherds
Azawakhs
Caucasian Mountain Dogs
Kooikerhondjes

right now I have all the groups on one page...

I could split it up into 7 pages (1 page for each group)

I think I will do that...

I made a change....

instead of the number of majors per day..

the question is now
How difficult is it to finish a Champion in this breed?
*Your answer should be based on the scenario of finishing an 'average' dog to CH.*

options are EASY - MODERATELY DIFFICULT - DIFFICULT

If you submitted breed info previously, you can post here - or PM me the answer for your breed.

For Toy Poodles I would say easy or moderate.

bumping...
the comparison spread sheet is coming along.

I've changed a few things here and there and of course I'm open to suggestions if there is something you'd like to see...

Currently there are 7 sheets, 1 per group.
Each group page has all breeds listed and all of the SOPs are listed

Slowly but surely I'm adding additional information from the Breed pages - # of kennels, population status, # of entries, # of colors...

You can use the form (link is above) to submit the info for your breeds.

The Kennel Club (UK) system, which is also used by the Australian National Kennel Council[1] and in other countries, is considered the most difficult to earn a title under.
