Fresco, are you finding these through the All Time Top Dog listings on each breed page? THANK YOU for telling us about the "zombie dogs" - I had no idea!

I just recently finished a home-bred champ in every breed quest, and found a good number of hidden studs through those pages. However, I was deterred from even looking at the deceased dogs, not knowing your tip.

I am currently working with another kennel on a source project for Polish Lowlands, and our shared gene pool SOPs are on the rise. There IS one dormant kennel with higher SOP dogs that comes back every so often to show, but neither sells pups nor places dogs for stud. Any additional tips would be very much appreciated.

How do you find "zombie" studs? where are you looking?

How do you buy a zombie listed as for sale when there is not link to buy it?

How do you breed to a zombie stud when they have no breed to this stud link?

I see deceased dogs in my own kennels that I cannot breed to and no, they are not fh'd. It says deceased but there is no way to breed to them?

Tamook - if I understand correctly, it's dogs that were put up for sale, then the kennel went inactive, and the dog eventually died. If you can find the dog (I'm assuming through the all time top dogs list, or backing through a pedigree), you can buy it, and immediately breed it before it re-dies at midnight. I think if it's not up for stud, you can change the stud status once it's purchased.

I usually start in the Merit Dogs section, and I have found that they are mostly (but not all) from the 2008-2012 time period.

In Polish Lowland Sheepdogs- which I just started in my Redland Road kennel- I'm seeing some anomalies from 2018/19 that are zombies. It's very unusual, but I'm not complaining.

Wow, I looked for over an hour and couldn't find a single Field Spaniel zombie. That is a tough one.

If you have the time, any help with Canaans would be greatly appreciated. I spend a lot of time searching and getting sidetracked lol. Edit: We're in the 90s range for sop now.
