Seriously,
There is no sense in even continuing the topic. Not everyone feels the same in regards to showdog. Some like to breed, others like to show. Personally, I prefer showing to breeding, but cannot keep top quality dogs without breeding.

I don't know that I ever did express my opinion on this topic, probably cause I had a million other things going on. However, I am opposed, even though it's been official that Jeff will not be implementing this idea. My reasoning for oposing is simple really;

1)It's showdog. The game was designed to breed for the best dogs, and show them against the community. At one point in time, showing was quite profitable. Now-days, the money pool is a little low. However, that does not mean we start changing the way the game is played. We start changing how WE play the game. Be more smart, budget more carefully. I have been doing nothing in another kennel of mine BUT breeding, because I'm trying to get a low SOP breed up into good ranks. However, it's boring the crap out of me. Yet, I manage to stay well into the positive numbers. No, not because of stud use because in that breed, it's minimal. I just budget, strategize.

I would not be ok with puppymilling. I have witnessed that first hand in my breed, Dobes, already and that is without being paid for FHed dogs. It was ruining us.

Now, that said, can we please try to not slit each others' throats over difference of opinion? EVERYONE will have one. happy :)

Live, love, laugh, smack someone with a water filled....nevermind.

In order to do this, they would need to finish 10 females,
which isn't easy for me and I doubt it's easy for other breeders. Not to mention many judges have a biase toward males. And these "zero cost" studs you speak of must be champions or grand champions. In my breed CH and GCH dogs usually cost $100 stud fee and are rarely, if ever, for sale.

Plus this is ineffective in the long term because if you are constantly forever homing dogs, how can you be producing champions? And producing champions requires money to session and more money to feed.

So you could not simply puppy mill as you imply.

Actually it's incredibly easy to finish a dog if you wanted to a abuse this system.
All I e of have to do is session some dogs just enough to not be kicked out the show. Then waite till the evening and entre a show that has no breed entries and put my poorly sessions dogs in against one better sessions dogs. I could get majors everyday and champ two dogs every 3-4 days. Then once I habe a champed male and some champed females I can just keep breeding them and fh the whole litters to make money. I wouldn't need to show again u till my act a died of old age which takes ages anyway.

I play another SIM that has this feature, the better quality the litter the more money u get, it's not ment to be a breeding SIM it's a showing/compeating SIM. But as I was Low in money all I did was buy in some nice dogs and breed them for money and made a good balance out of it so I could buy the stuff I wanted. If i d that gain very boring at its so easy to make money there is no need for a strategy, I'm now working on breeding a certain type of dog on there now but still much prefur this game as its not is simple easy one.

I think this would make the game too easy, easy money takes away the need for strategy which is the whole angle of the game. Take that away and it might as well be one of those fluffy virtual pet games for little kid's.
