I love Doxie genetics...

I'm guessing his parents were both carriers (they were supposed to be but I wasn't planning an LH litter lol). All of his siblings were WH but he was this random LH.

Ha! And whenever I have tried to breed my wires to my longs/smooths, it takes forever for me to get a non-wire! My picking skills for carriers leave a lot to be desired. That is too funny!

I pretty much just keep all potentially recessive carriers if they have a SOP and/or trait I want and assume they do carry, lol. I seem to have better luck in this kennel than I did in LTK, but I also have more patience these days.

Nice! I will be breeding to him for his head, especially laugh :D

Here are my highest for each of the coats:

WH: 96.30
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=15045173
- I've been in a bit of a rut with wires, it seems...I am consistently getting 96.10-96.15s, but nothing big lately. If anyone has a nice show quality puppy that isn't extremely related to mine, I will take it off your hands!

LH: 95.60
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=15165593

SH: 94.80
www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=15151807 (and her sister)

Basically, if anyone has nice stock, I'll pay well for it! I'm doing better in my other breed right now, and am annoyed my ranking has dropped in dachshunds lol. Granted, I've been busy in RL starting a new job, etc. but I need to get back at it!

I FINALLY had a breakthrough, both with getting a decent boy (as you can see, I only have one stud up and that never is the norm!) and getting a new high SOP! I just got this boy tonight. He is a nice surprise after watching the sad excuse for a Presidential Debate...lol!

Oh, yay! I'm glad happy :)

I got this boy, and I was happy with him. I'm still not hugely into my wires.

I'm drooling over his gait! I've been somewhat focusing on that trait, but mine are all in the 9.7 range. I can't wait to use him! Lol

Since it's been dead, I have a small brag...

I'm venturing out into showing my two LH boys in the show ring. They are still a bit lower (95.80), but have nice traits. I didn't have high expectations for them, so this group win was a nice surprise! Just as a FYI, I'm definitely entering him again under Maria Campbell! Lol

How is everyone else doing with theirs?

Update: he finished his championship with three majors and two BIG (both under Maria lol)...but some other judges liked him too!

Wonderful! I just got two 96s in a litter. I need to figure out where they went. My life is crazy because I just started a new job and I'm in the process of moving so SD has taken a back seat.

Did you know?
A specialty show is a dog show which reviews a single breed, unlike other dog shows, particularly conformation shows, which are generally referred to as "all-breed" because they are open to all breeds recognized by the sponsoring kennel club.
