I had a litter born this morning that was all girls! Crazy, right? I've seen this in the past when I worked with dogs that have maybe 3 or 4 dogs in a litter, but never in larger litters. This was a total of 7 puppies - all female! Has anyone else seen this?

I didn't get anything much to jump up and down about, but I did get one little girl that is the highest SOP I have bred to date. She's not record breaking, but I was excited to see her there.

Also, whoa, 97%! Looks like all your trait breeding paid off Mccloud, huge congrats! I’m just sorry it took me so long to see this. ^^ Mals have broken 97%, that’s just awesome. So much progress so rapidly. And to think this dog would have had even higher SOP. O.o She also blows away every other rating I’ve seen to date with a chart busting 12.3! This is going to be the dog to beat for sure, the slightly low showshine will only effect this dog slightly, not enough to matter.

I’ve had that happen before Xi-Chi, having an all same gender litter. It’s not common, but it does happen. That girl will be easy to finish, may not be record breaking, but still exceptional.

Would anyone be interested in these two dogs by the way, I’d really hate to FH them and was quite surprised they haven’t sold:

The end of the month has come around again, and that means it’s time for new averages:

Head: 9.8 +1
FQ: 9.5 +1
HQ: 9.2 +1
Gait: 10.3 +0
Tnb: 9.2 +0
Coat: 9.6 +0
Size: 9.8 +0
Temp: 9.6 +0
Feet: 9.6 +1

This trend of improvements is continuing forward quite nicely, the breed is now improving at a bullet’s pace. Great job everyone, all our trait breeding and balance breeding is paying off in a big way now; I knew it was only a matter of time. ^^ Mals have now reached 97% and will no doubt surpass that soon, lot’s of exciting dogs coming to the ring this month should make next month’s averages even more interesting.

Anyway, the new ring average is 96.25% and the formulaic average increases to 10.8, don’t forget to adjust your dog’ rating accordingly.

Man you guys have sure been quite lately, I mean I have been too, but still… miss seeing updates from you, and I wonder what happened to CS, haven’t seen them for ages now; hope nothing has happened to them.

I've been busy lately but I have been turning out some great Mals. The rest of my breeds are a bit dry at the moment but I'm doing good here.

Aw not you too SKL , seems so many are leaving these days; at least you will be coming back though, don't stay away for too long. I will go have a look at your dogs, I hope most of them find homes as you have put so much work into your lines and it would be a shame to lose that. Also, hope you don't stay away for too long. ETA: I bought one of you're lovely ladies, can't take many more dogs on at thins time, but will def grab others if no one else does, because letting most of these dogs waste would be a shame.

I originally bought her to start up my line but now I have so many pups out of her that it's getting quite ridiculous haha. She's a gorgeous girl (96.80% SOP) and has been an absolutely fabulous producer (mother of the 97% mentioned above!) and I hate to see her go but I don't want all my pups out of the same line lol. Hopefully somebody can provide a good home for her.

Hi all i have a few 96.60 - 96.70's up for sale at the moment, all with the 'buy now' option available. My sub runs out soon and given my current circumstances I don't think I'll be renewing unfortunately. However I will still keep my BC kennel going for now (Clay Creek Falls)

Oh man, it's been ages since I looked at this thread, I've missed some things. -.-'I just stay too busy to keep up with this game anymore, but I'm going to hang in there; I'm not out of it yet.

Oh and, not you too Makavelis , so many people leaving the breed lately, so many greats. I understand, but I hope you will consider returning at some point, your dogs were among the best out there and definitely at the top SOP wise. I enjoyed watching your progress. Good luck going forward though , and you will be missed.

Not all bad news though, welcome back to the breed Treestand! ^^ Allow me to apologize for being late to see this and welcome you. I hope you are having fun, I'm glad SKL was able to find so many of their awesome dogs good homes where they can continue to contribute to the breed. I looks forward to competing with you in the ring again treestand; I'll try to keep up with my entries better.

I will need to catch up with you guys, haven't bred anything particularly great SOP wise for awhile now. I think I'm in some kind of a funk, getting lots of throwbacks these day, probably bred to much on the same pedigrees. Luckily I've built my funds back up enough that I can and will start using outside studs again soon. Hopefully fresh blood will nudge everything into moving forward again.
