Black 3-BBEe Carrying Orange-(B3)
Black 4-BbEe Carrying Liver, Orange and Lemon(B4)
Liver 5-bbEE carrying no recessive-(L5)
Liver 6-bbEe carrying Lemon-(L6)
Orange 7-BBee carrying no recessive-(O7)
Orange 8-Bbee Carrying Lemon-(O8)
Lemon 9-bbee carrying no recessive-(L9)

Pointer breeders have come to an consensus that we would like to follow this, with the division of colors being:

40% Black
40% Orange
10% Liver
10% Lemon

www.showdog.com/login/Breeds/philboard_read.aspx?id=110903
www.angelfire.com/ma3/evermorepointers/1colorchart.html

Seems like it should be rather easy to implement.

Thanks,

When you get to poodles, it looks like all three varieties: Toy, Mini, and Standard have decided to all go together with the same genes and percentages. So you could potentially do all three at the same time? Depending on how your programming code is set up.

Anatolian breeders need help getting the genetic coding and color percentages. Here is the current thread on the topic: www.showdog.com/login/Breeds/philboard_read.aspx?id=110806. We are more than willing to take any help offered.

Thanks for any and all help in advance,

Vizslas

B Locus
bb - Brown (All Vizslas are homzygous for this gene, meaning they all have it)

E Locus
ee - Blocks Black and Brown, Results in Reds/Goldens (There are other ways to get the reddish color, but the article I read said that Vizslas are red because they are ee)

So the genetic code for Vizslas would be:

Jeff, collie people need your opinion?
www.showdog.com/login/Breeds/philboard_read.aspx?id=110060
Thats the thread in case you want to read it or respond there, but the basic question is how should we split up source dogs?
One idea is split it amung basic colors: Sable(pure), Tri, Blue Merle and then the other colors (Mahogany(tri factored pure sable), Sable Merle's, and Double Dilutes) would just appear due to breeding and how genetics work.
The other idea is we take every possible collie color (Sable, Mahogany Sable, Sable Merle(sable and mahogany), Tricolor, Blue Merle, Double Dilutes (sables, mahogany's, blue's)) and try and figure out percentages for those.
Which idea are you looking for? It would help us in getting things togeather. Thank you!

Chows are ready. There's a topic called Chow colors with all the details, including a very detailed breakdown, but a simpler version was created for us by Marchen Terriers (Thank you!)
Most breeders have not commented on the forum, some have been thru direct mails.
We seem to all agree on Rough coat only, and here's the breakdown, including percentages of starters:
A Locus
ay - Red/Yellow
aa - Recessive black

C Locus
C - Full pigmentation
cch - Chinchilla, Reduced Red/Yellow

D Locus
D - Full pigmentation
d - Black into Blue dilution, Red into Cinnamon

Saints need some help writing the codes for our colors, patterns and coat type. If anyone would like to help us it would be greatly appreciated. Here's our forum so far.
