Glen Of Imaal Terriers have agreed!

www.showdog.com/login/Breeds/philboard_read.aspx?id=112555

"E Locus
Ebr - Brindle
e - Wheaten

The brindle is dominant over the wheaten.

Brindles can be either EbrEbr or Ebre
The Ebre shows Brindle and hides the Wheaten, meaning it carries the wheaten gene

Wheatens are only ee

This shows the outcome of breedings

EbrEbr x EbrEbr can only produce EbrEbr Brindle pups

EbrEbr x Ebre will produce EbrEbr and Ebre pups

EbrEbr x ee will produce Ebre (Brindle) pups

Ebre x Ebre will produce EbrEbr, Ebre, and ee pups

Ebre x ee will produce Ebre and ee pups

ee x ee will produce ee pups" posted by Marchen Terriers

66% Brindle
33% Wheaten

Sussex Spaniels have only one accepted AKC color.
It should be an easy one to do.

Hm... I know there are various theories out there, but any idea which locus Jeff's putting brindle on? In the models on this post, it's listed variously as being on the E or the K, but somehow I don't think it can be both, at least for the purposes of the game.

he puts it on where ever the breed people have agreed on. he uses what we submit.

some people put the brindle on different genes based on what research they were able to find. some people have come across the K locus info, while others have only found the older A or E stuff. Some also just modify it depending on what seems simplest for their breed, to keep it from being more complicated than it needs to be, while still having the same effect. happy :)

that's why a person had to check their own breed code list to see what rules the color follows for that breed, as it may be different than 'standard'.

As KMR stated, the letter we put the gene on doesn't really matter. There are quite a few genes that are actually "m" (for miscelaneous) for genes that aren't common in other breeds.

However, whether the gene is E or K it does the same thing.

OK again with the Cardigan Welsh Corgi colors.
We grouped the color variations into color catagories. Red sable is in the Red catagory and Tri with brindle markings are in the "tri" catagory ect ect.

Here is the link

Did you know?
The figure 8 exercise requires the team to heel in a figure 8 pattern either on or off leash. Generally two of the ring stewards will assist the judge with this exercise by acting as "posts", standing 8 feet apart, that the team walks around to form the loops of the figure 8.
