That's very unusual. A dog can definitely enter one all breed & one specialty show each night. Some sort of game error perhaps? Sorry to hear that your bitch didn't have the opportunity to be judged.

That's still odd though. I had entries in the specialty and all breed shows last night. SOMEHOW (and I have no idea how) my 94.2 boy picked up 2 4pt majors last night. Im still confused about that - I honestly didnt know if Id get ANY majors with him.

Ah well, it is a little disappointing for me, would have liked my best prospect in my show ... but as they say - that's life happy :)

Anyway - Congrats to your boy on those two majors, he should well be on his way to finishing now. Am pleased to see that. happy :)

Thank you. He only needs 5 more points. I actually thought he'd be unfinishable, but didnt want to waste all the sessioning work when I decided that halfway through, so Im very pleased.

So I have come to the conclusion that all the sessioning I did on my most recent boy was a waste. He just isn't up to par....sigh. Time to start over and hope that my upcoming bitch produces well. Guess I have hit a road block.

Southern - thats doing better than some of us who's been around for a while! And Spyte, I feel you. I feel like this has been such slow going and Ive only had like 2-3 dogs that I felt I could finish easily, everything else has been kind of "well I can finish them if Im lucky". Do you need some stock? Im expecting like 4 litters on Thursday and can see what happens.

Not sure if I need new stock or not yet. My upcoming broodie hits breeding age in 2 days. Gonna breed her and see what I get.

Spyte, I have a few litters due during the next seven days, if I can help in any way let me know happy :)

(that of course depends if I manage to get anything worthwhile .. LOL), I was veryn lucky to get that one 94.60 girl a while back.

I am considering buying the other 94.55 Dragunov bitch Gheimhridh V Zwolfjager to add to my kennel, rather than see her FF - she seems to be too good for that. But don't want to stop any other breeder from getting her first. So have been holding off buying her.

What does everyone think, is there anyone else out there who wants her?

What would the COI be if you breed her back to House of Cards? I dont math well. But her COI itself is so low that if she was mine, I might give it a shot to see how it goes if its under the inbreeding threshold. Or one of his sons perhaps like www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13455104 or www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13509667 (tomorrow, if Shelhond studs him) or www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=13455105. Too bad his 94.6 sons that Arkay and Southern managed to get arent old enough yet to bred, even if Arkay and Southern were willing to offer at stud.

I have bought her. But if anyone wants her I would be happy to sell her on for the same price.

I am breeding two bitches back to the House of Cards bloodline. I had already tried it with a House of Cards daughter (94.00 sop). I ended up with a 94.30 bitch. The COI on that cross was 13.96%, and on the other two will be over 14% COI. But what makes me try it again is that I FF'd one from that litter, that if it had 20SS, would have been 94.75 (Damn... LOL). Good luck with whatever you try.

Unfortunately she is a Cards daughter so COI to him would be 26+ but to one of his sons it will be about 12-13. Might try that. I wish the other two were old enough, but maybe for a second litter. happy :)

Did you know?
