Well I hope someone grabs her. She just dropped a litter yesterday, if no one claims her by the time she comes into heat again, I'll keep breeding her myself. So 5 days happy :).

I grabbed her! I'm not getting much above 95.1 at the most so I'll give her a go!

Put up 2 new pups for sale. Their SOP is only kind of meh, but they got that sweet 9.5 TNB's, in case anyone wants to bring some of that into their lines.

I like this boy, he is only 95.15 SOP. But I really like some of his traits. Weak H/Q, and an ordinary coat --- but --- 9.5 F/Q, 9.5 Gait traits. Although I doubt he is finishable, he may be worth keeping for breeding.

Rest of the litter is very ordinary.

Other litter from a 95.30 girl - total write off.......

Still can't get a really good pup .... Oh well more litters due this week, so crossing fingers.

I think I may be out of my rut!

Just got this boy!

I haven't gone through all of the new pups yet (and there are a lot of them!), but SOP wise, I at least got some 95.4s, which is higher than I've been getting. But, the 95.8 stands out initially!

Think we may re-institute the crying corner. Two more litters, only one reasonable male at 95.40 out of the whole lot.......

Well the cryin corner at least makes us feel better when we're in a rut. Anything I can do to help Aussie?

Thanks Gypsy, but not much, just cross fingers *lol*. I think I have plenty of company in the corner, in deeper ruts than me.

I have more litters due, and just bred Wish upon a Star (really wanted to campaign her further, but I need good puppies more).

What is disappointing is both my new bitches had their entire litters FH'ed. I just have not found the right males for my higher SOP females, their pups are lower than them and the sires even. So I need to go through the traits on other males. Will get there eventually...

Welcome Painted! Tips? Not really. We're like any other breed, except chattier. Check back here often for new keeshond news. If I (or anyone else) can help you with getting started, please let me (us) know! happy :)

Gypsy, See The Action will definitely be up for stud once he's old enough, no worries there.

I just bred his dad to the girl you sold that had produced well for you, hopefully I'll get a good pup or two from that match. (And maybe all it took was getting her in my kennel to break my bad streak, since I got him in my first batch of litters that dropped since getting her! LOL)

Did you know?
In the American Kennel Club, a dog needs 15 points to become a Champion, with each win gaining anywhere from zero to five points depending on the number of dogs competing and the area where the show is held.
