Thank you, I appreciate that. I have a few 96.35s and a 96.4 and would be willing to trade one for another nice female of comparable quality.

Break Out Moves sired a nice litter for me today. Got another finishable girl finally.

Also have 2 males for sale from this litter. Solid stats, nothing AMAZING, but I bet theyd be finishable. Might be worth it for Dad's genetics if nothing else.

I'm leaving the game everyone. Unforeseen real life changes mean I can't devote my time anymore.

Won't be logging in again, so good luck fellow breeders.

My entire kennel and lines up for sale.

So very sorry to see you go Analeyn, if you come back later and need help setting up --- let me know.

Have just whelped new litters, I am only now getting 96.30 and 96.35 pups consistently... am well behind in SOP. My breeding stock is just not producing.

Have picked up one of Analeyns girls, probably the best of the remaining bitches -- poor coat and I have been trying to get rid of my bad coats....but she is bit higher than my girls and the rest of her traits are nice.

I just wish I had been able to get home from work a bit earlier, might have been able to find a second nice girl.

I'm sorry to see you go Analeyn. It's sad to lose such a talented breeder. I do hope everything goes well for you and that you're able to return soon.

I want to rant a moment. I had 2 litters born this morning that were extremely disappointing. I was very much hoping for a good boy from these litters. Would you believe that I had an entire litter of 7 pups that were all female? Yep, the dog Gods are laughing their butts off at me right now. I mean they are seriously mocking me. lol I was able to pick up a good boy of Analeyn's though so all is not lost.

I definitely understand how real life gets to be hectic. You will be missed Analeyn. Like Aussie said, if you need help starting back up just give a holler.

Xi-Chi, I had a disappointing litter on Saturday night. All 7 were boys and not a single one a keeper lol.

Xi-Chi, I know just where you are coming from ... the puppy gods have been laughing at me for a while now, Some of the pups I am keeping, I shouldn't bother with, but that is what I am getting. Hoping for an improvement -- so I just keep trying ..... wishing you lots of luck happy :)

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I picked up a few Kees from the kennel that is leaving.

In the past I've always just focused on Silky Terriers but I decided to branch out a bit.

Thank you everyone for the welcome.

I entered 3 girls tonight so I could get a better idea of which one I want to show. I'll be breeding the others when they are ready.

Thanks Xi-Chi, Celtic Mystery never saw a show ring but whelped some quite nice puppies for me.

Another disappointing group of litters. Am waiting on my very pretty although very low shine boy to get to 30 days - he turns 29 today.

www.showdog.com/dog.aspx?id=14357891

He has a lovely even balance of traits, and I am hoping and praying that he will give me a breakthrough. I have to admit using him is a big gamble, but I need to try something to get past 96.35 -- so fingers (and toes) crossed.

I took a huge gamble and got Stolen Dance's dam from Analeyn to breed to him, she is not very high SOP - but almost all of the high bitches were gone by the time I had the chance to go shopping, and am holding a few of my own bitches ready to breed to him. Although if my luck runs as it has been - he will probably be a disaster.

I am only going to breed full SS bitches to him to try and keep the low SS factor down a bit.
The thing is -- is he worth trying, or am I making a really bad mistake???

Well, when I was source breeding a few years back I seem to remember that show shine was easier to control than the rest of the traits. It is a trait though so it works like the others and it needs to be set. If you breed him, you may end up with a rash of show shine issues for a few generations, but you will have improved the individual traits. It is kind of a trade off...on one side improved traits...on the other low show shine for a bit.

However, otherwise that boy is really nice. He scores a 5.5 on my little yard stick I use to measure my dogs against. The current top Keeshond scores a 4.5 by my yard stick. Personally, I'd breed him to perfect show shine females (like you said). Just my opinion happy :)

I'd keep him around Aussie. Some of the low show shine dogs produce the best. I think that boy will produce something really really nice. Just don't breed him to any girls that have low show shine.
