Thanks everyone - Yes it does seem as though the breed is doing one of it's "periodic moves upward".

That is a nice boy Winter Heart - I see he has a theoretical SOP of 95.70. I can't -- too many dogs, I am going to have to have a purge soon

I am in shock (happy shock!!!!!!)
And I have to take back what I said about having no luck with low SS bitches. Foxy Lady has a SS of 18.1 (theoretical SOP of 95.15). I bred her to Lost in Space and she has produced a great litter. From 5 pups -

Hey everyone, I took a small hiatus, but I am back and looking for a new brood.

Yay Spyte! I was worrying about ya. As you can see from the most recent posts, its an exciting time for keeshonds. We're having another "quick leap" in SOP.

Taste of Victory going up for stud. Not as nice as some lately perhaps, but solid lines, decent SOP and nice coat and hind.

Nice to see you back Spyte, if you need help let me know. What are you looking for in a brood bitch, if you are still looking? Most of my current broodies are in the 95.20-35 SOP range.

I do like your new boy, he is nicely balanced. Must find some girls for him.

TY. I find as time goes on, that I am more interested in nicely balanced stats across the board than working on one particular stat. Although I mostly find myself focusing on Hind, gait, TNB and temp.

Question- has anyone seen any 9.9 head dogs yet? I know there was one in a not very active kennel a few months ago, but I think dont much was done with her. I just keep seeing litter after litter being born with 9.8, same as both parents. Statistically at least ONE of us should have seen a 9.9 by now.

I have 10 heads in two different lines in the past, but as hard as I tried I was unable to keep the 10 heads occurring past a few breedings.

I'm really looking for a bitch that is balanced. I know that my Keeshonds before were very all over the place when it came to a few traits, so I don't want to do that again. I am starting all over with my line, so I'm really looking for a great foundation bitch, maybe even a proven producer?

A new judge -- I looked at his preferences and Lycaons boy .... and can't wait to get Celtic Goddess into the ring under him. She should be very well suited to his judging I hope.

I have put up an all breed show on the 21st "First Australis" and will add a $50.00 payout for BOB in Keesies, if anyone is interested.
